Mission of Civil Eng. Dep.

The civil department is keen on preparing a distinguished civil graduate engineer capable of analysis, creativity and scientific research and qualified for the requirements of local and regional labor markets. The civil department is also keen on the effective participation of its academic staff and their graduates in the development of the community and the surrounding environment. The department works on inspiring and motivating the faculty members and the supporting staff to work on scientific research and publish locally and regionally.

Strategic objectives of Civil Eng. Dep.

1.     Development of the Civil Engineering Department curricula in the light of national standards and the requirements of the local and regional labor market.

2.     Linking the research activity with the needs of the external community.

3.     Community participation by providing engineering consultations and training courses.

4.     Linking the theoretical side of the curricula to market practice through practical training for students.

5.     Raising the scientific research skills of faculty members and assisting staff.

6.     Preparing a student capable of adapting and interacting with the community and achieving his aims and protect himself and those around him and push the locomotive of life in light of severe environmental changes.
